It is with deep regret that we have learned of the passing of our denominations Senior Minister, The Very Rev. William McMillian, MBE, MA, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, 19th January 2020. He is survived by his wife Sheila and his children; David, Alister, Andrew and Jane.
Known to one and all as Mac, he was Minister Emeritus of First Presbyterian Church, Dunmurry, where he spent most of his clerical life. He had also served in Newry and was Minister in Charge of our Dublin church on two seperate occasions.
Mac was on the Commisioning Panel that admitted our own minister into ministry training as well as preaching at Mike's Licensing in 2016. Despite poor health, he travelled to  Cork and preached in our church in 2018. He was a man of towering intellect and humour. We offer our sympathies to his wife, children & family and to the Session & congregation in Dunmurray.
May he Rest in Peace.

The first Friday Jazz vespers of 2020 was held on Friday, 10th January. In its infancy, FJV is a service of the Methodist and Unitarian churches which happens on the first Friday of the month, yes January was an exception, due to Christmas!
The service is built around the music of John Coltrane's " A Love Supreme" and as you can see the music is live. Our regular musican's/worship leaders, Dr Griff Rollefson and Dr Mary King were joined by flautist, Prof Virginia Giglio. The meditation was read by Abi Oyeyemi and the Proclamation by Rev Mike O'Sullivan. Our next service is on Friday, 7th of Febuary and will be led by Rev Andrew Robinson, Methodist Minister, Cork. All are welcome.
