Over the past 2 years I have met on a couple of occasions with Debbie Keller Wood who is Director of Faith formation at the Unitarian church in Falmouth, Massachusetts. Yesterday, I received from their congregation to ours these messages of support for all we are trying to achieve here in Cork. They are very taken by our decision for the past 2 years to march in Pride here in Cork

Our minister and members of the congregation took part in this years St. Patrick's Day parade. In line with our ethos we marched with a group that included Buddhists from the different traditions, devotees of Shiva, the Order of Ecumenical Franciscans( OEF) as well as Gnostic Christians and yoga and Shamanic traditions.
After the march, everybody retired to the Church hall at the Unitarian Church for an evening of wonderful Thai food.

New Zealand Attacks

This morning many of us woke up looking forward to the weekend. Maybe excited by God Cup day at Cheltenham, a weekend of six nations rugby and of course our national holiday.
Then came news of the horrific attacks at the Al Noor and Linwood mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand. This morning a dark cloud hangs over the world.
Men, women and children gunned down while worshiping God. Such acts leave any right minded person, horrified, shocked, numb and full of questions that don'
t seem to have an answer. It does seem sometimes that the seeds of hate are all to easily planted in the human heart.
This morning we offer our prayers and keep in our thoughts all who have been left devastated by this horrific attack. This morning we stand as one with our Muslim brothers and sisters.
