Today Rev. Mike, our Minister & Church Building Manager,Paul Clarke began work on what is to be a new outdoor worship area at the church. The aim is to bring our services into direct contact with nature, weather permitting of course. It is planned that on various Sundays across the summer our service will be held outside.
The plan entails the building of a permanent Communion/ Worship table using one of the original 300 year old flagstones from the church. Pic : Paul starting the prep work!!!

In recent weeks we have had a number of enquiries about our missing plaque. The plaque is to commemorate The Rev. Thomas Dix Hinks ( 1767-1857 ), who was a Minister of our church. We are lucky that when the plaque fell from the pillar, it hit the ground and cleanly split in two.
We are in the process of having it repaired and restored to its rightful home. Our friends at Adult Continuing Education ( ACE ) at U.C.C. are offering a variety of community based part-time cert and dip courses which begin this autumn.
