At the moment and since March 15th our church building has been closed due to the Covid 19 Pandemic. Thankfully, as numbers of both deaths and infections continue to fall, our country has entered Phase 1 of a roadmap to reopen our economy.
Under the roadmap churches and places of worship of all denominations are planned to reopen in Phase 4, that is July 20th. At the moment, under the roadmap, churches are allowed to open for private prayer. As this is not a part of our tradition, people calling into the church to pray, we felt it was not necessary for us to open our doors at this time. All being well, we do hope to open as per the roadmap and available public Health advice on July 20th. We will only open if we are permitted. At the moment we are drawing up the logistics in preparation for our return to our historic home. The safety of all attending and visiting our church is our only concern. There is no doubt, that church will be a different experience for all who attend church, whatever church that may be. Social distancing is here for sometime to come as are handwashing and coughing protocols. Sadly, upon our return, the singing of hymns will not for some time be a part of our worship. May God, the God of many names, keep each of you and those you Love, safe & well.
