On Sunday, the 13th of October, we were joined for the second time this year by Diana Menzies who travelled from her home in Scotland. Diana is the granddaughter of The Rev. William Weatherall, who was minister of our church from 1913 until his retirement in 1954. Diana travelled with her daughter and two granddaughters.

As the transformation and upgrade of our historic 300 year old city centre church continues, a new warmer era has dawned with the installation of a new heating system across the building. This will not only make for a better experience for those who use and visit our church, it will also be good for the building itself, even buildings need a little TLC.
We would like to thank, Cormac of South Coast Sales, Cork for his help and patience, to MCK Electrical and to Tim O'Sullivan of Tim O'Sullivan Electrical who installed the system. Today, we had a surprise visit to the church from Clare Williamson and her husband Frank. Clare is a Lay Worship Leader at the Unitarian Church in Gateacre in Liverpool.

Rev William was born in 1872 and prior to taking up his appointment here in Cork, he was minister of Crumlin in Belfast. He died in 1956 and is buried in our church in Moira. Above are some pictures of Rev William kindly given to us by Diana Menzies.
